pH

Acids and bases affect soil, plant and human health.

Highlights:

Hello and welcome to the Probiotics Heal The World Podcast!

I’m your host, Eric Lancaster.

Hi Everyone,

WE ARE BUILDING A BIT OF A FOUNDATION IN WHAT CAN BE DONE IN AGRICULTURE AND GARDENING, WHERE IT HAS BEEN, AND WHERE IT IS TODAY.

FYI: EARLIER THIS WEEK, I RAN A POLL TO CHECK IN WITH OUR SUBSTACK READERS TO SEE IF WE WERE ON TRACK.

I’M GOING TO KEEP DOING THE “WHAT’S NEW MONDAYS." THEN I WILL DO 1 PODCAST PER WEEK AND ONE MORE POST.

I HAVE ALSO ADDED SOME AUDIO VERSIONS OF POSTS FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE USING THE SUBSTACK APP AND WOULD FIND IT MORE USEFUL TO LISTEN TO THE POSTS THAN TO READ THEM.

THIS WEEK’S SUBJECT IS PH.

The measurement of acidity or alkalinity, known as pH, is significant in various contexts, including soil and the human body.

Understanding the link between pH and microbes...

Because different microbes prefer different pH levels, pH can influence which MICROBES grow in a specific habitat.

The solubility and availability of specific nutrients vary with pH, affecting plants' health and development.

Bacteria and fungi found in the Soil also favor particular pH ranges.

Extreme pH values can cause toxicities or nutritional imbalances.

By affecting how soil particles aggregate, pH impacts soil structure.

Importance of pH in Humans:

Digestive Health

Skin Health

Urinary Health

Oral Health
